Tenant Voices Matter Panel

Welcome to the home of Tenant Voices Matter (TVM) - our tenant and leaseholder scrutiny panel!

This group works with the Elected Members (local councillors) on the Council's Housing Policy Committee.

We want to make sure that the views of tenants and leaseholders are taken into account when important decisions are made about how our council housing services are delivered.

The Terms of Reference explain more about the role of the group. These are attached under the 'Documents' section - which you'll find at the bottom of the page if you're using a small device like a phone, or on the right if using a larger device like a laptop.

More information about the Housing Policy Committee and their role can be viewed here.

Before each Housing Committee meeting, a link will be published on this page to the latest reports (once they are published on the Council's website).

The group then meets online (over Zoom) with the Committee Members to give their feedback and raise any concerns they may have. This meeting is called the "Tenant Voices Matter Panel meeting".

The Committee Members then take this feedback into consideration when making the decisions at their full Committee meeting.

Committee Papers

A link to the Committee papers for the next Housing Policy Committee meeting can be found under the 'Committee Papers' section - which again you'll find at the bottom of the page if you're using a small device like a phone, or on the right if using a larger device like a laptop. This link will appear as soon as the papers are published on the Council's website (normally a week before the full Committee meeting)

These are for you to read and consider at your leisure, at a time that suits you.

You can then discuss these with other group members in the Forum below. This is a space for you to share your views, positive or negative, and read what other group members have to say.

Everyone's views matter and are equally important. We have just a few house rules for the group, to make sure that all members feel respected, listened to and able to voice their opinions. You can find the house rules in the 'Documents' section.

Dates for the Housing Policy Committee meetings, and the corresponding Tenants Voices Matter Panel meetings, are shown under the 'Key Dates' section.
