Kelham Island and Neepsend Parking Scheme Review
Improving access to parking for local residents and businesses
The survey has now closed and we are now considering feedback
The Kelham Island-Neepsend Parking Scheme was introduced by Sheffield City Council in 2024 to prioritise the use of available on-street parking for local residents and businesses, and to best manage demand.
The scheme was needed because of the growing pressure on local on-street parking from the rising use of the area for commuter parking, and from the planned increase in the number of new homes and businesses in the area.

One year on from its introduction, Sheffield City Council wants to review how the parking scheme is working with a view to considering if there are any improvements that could be made.
We’re hosting a survey to gather feedback to include in a feedback report that will be presented to SCC’s Transport, Regeneration and Climate Policy Committee.
If you have any questions, you can contact the project team through any of the following channels. These channels are monitored 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday outside of Bank Holidays:
The insights from the survey will be summarised in a report presented to SCC’s Transport, Regeneration and Climate Policy Committee once the engagement period has concluded. This report will help the Committee accurately assess how well the current scheme is operating and any amendments that may improve it.
Any updates to the scheme as a result of the review will be shared with the public once approved.
