Northeast LAC - Your thoughts on local priorities
The Northeast LAC and the local councillors for the Shiregreen and Brightside Ward would like your thoughts on the priorities for the area. Please take the time to have a read through them before completing our short survey located at the bottom of the page.
Shiregreen and Brightside's Ward Priorities
Cleaner Greener Community
• Improvements and maintenance of local parks and green spaces through partnership working.
• Litter-free streets through partnership working.
Neighbourly Community
• Bring different communities together and help people help themselves through activities, especially those that tackle social isolation.
Healthier Community
• Activities to get people on the move, reduce health inequalities and improve mental health through partnership working and advice & guidance services.
Successful Community
• Raise the attainment and aspirations of our young people and improve access to training and employment for adults through partnership working, including schools, VCF organisations, youth service providers, universities & businesses.
• Promote numeracy and literacy projects.
• Promote activities and initiatives that get people into training, volunteering and paid work.
