Parson Cross
Parson Cross Partnership
The Parson Cross Partnership was set up by the Northeast LAC as a cross-party group that work on issues around the Parson Cross area. These are well attended meetings where Councillors from the Firth Park and Southey wards, LAC Officers, South Yorkshire Police, Community Service Officers, Parks Officers, Youth Community Workers, SOAR Officers and residents come together to discuss solutions to issues such as off-road bikes in the park, CCTV and security, the children’s playground, youth provision, access to community buildings, developments opportunities, and community engagement. The Parson Cross Partnership’s next meeting will be on Monday 28th April at 11am at the Adlington Community Centre.
The Adlington Community Centre
The Adlington Community Centre was recently refurbished. The LAC organised an open day to help promote the use of the community centre in the area. The building is now well used by various groups including a free youth club every Monday from 6pm to 8pm.

Off-road bike initiative
The Northeast LAC is working with the police on an off-road bike initiative. A leaflet has been created, dropped through letter boxes and displayed around Parson Cross Park to inform residents on how they can report off-road bike users.
Parson Cross Park Fun Day
The Northeast LAC will be holding a Parson Cross Park Fun Day on Friday 4th April, from 12pm to 3pm. Sheffield Hawks will hold some rugby skills training and demonstrations, and football and games will be provided by Sheffield Wednesday and Youth Services.
