Older Persons Independent Living - City Wide Care Alarms

Sheffield City Council is reviewing the City Wide Care Alarms (CWCA) charging policy to ensure the service remains sustainable.

CWCA helps residents live safely and independently at home, reducing the need for higher levels of care and providing access to services in the event of an emergency. However, rising costs mean current income is no longer sufficient.

We are proposing changes to weekly charges and want your views to help us make fair and informed decisions, including understanding impacts on different groups.

This survey will close to responses on Monday 3rd August 2026.
