The equality monitoring information we collect is vital to ensure all our functions are representative of the city we serve. It is important we monitor and analyse equality information to ensure our processes are fair, transparent and promote equality of opportunity for all and do not have an adverse impact on any particular group.
Any information provided on this form will be treated as strictly confidential with any data being used for statistical purposes only. No information will be published or used in any way which allows any individual to be identified.
We ask Members to fill in these details once a year to help us monitor changes to the diversity of the Council over time, the same as we do for employees. We report the results anonymously in our Annual Equality Report, see the 2022/23 report for details. The Annual Report and Summary Reports can be downloaded from the website.
We do appreciate how busy you all are, but it shouldn’t take more than 5 mins to complete it. In 2023 54% filled in the survey but we would like to increase the number in 2024.
Many thanks
