The North-East LAC is excited to work with schools in the area to raise awareness around local environmental issues.
As part of this project, we will be delivering in-school sessions to raise awareness around littering and its environmental impact.
Following this, we will work alongside school leaders to organise and run children-led litter picks. The LAC will supply the litter picking equipment such as high-vis vests, litter picks, hoops and bags.
A litter picking pack containing all the necessary equipment will be left with the schools to encourage children to continue this wonderful work with their family and friends in the community.
We have received some interest so far from Hartley Brook Primary School and Meynell Primary school. We will be starting our work with them soon.
