Council Housing Spending Priorities 2026-2027 Consultation
We’re updating our Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Business Plan – and we want to hear from you.
The HRA is the council’s housing budget. It’s where we manage the money we collect from rent and how we spend it to look after council homes.
This money helps us to:
Repair and maintain homes
Improve housing conditions
Build new council homes
Manage tenancies and housing services
We don’t use this money for anything else – it’s only for council housing.
Each year, we update our HRA Business Plan to decide how best to spend this budget. We want your views to help shape our priorities and make sure we’re focusing on what matters most to you.
Tell us what matters most to you
Whether it’s improving existing homes, building new ones, tackling damp and mould, or something else – we want to hear from you. Your feedback will help shape our HRA Business Plan for 2026–2027, which will be agreed in February 2026.
If you’re a Sheffield City Council tenant, you can take part by completing our short survey. Just click the link below or survey button to get started
