We are refreshing our Housing Revenue Account Business Plan and want your views.

The Housing Revenue Account (HRA) is the financial account of the council as a landlord. The money we collect from your rents each year is what mainly funds the HRA. We use this money to fund a huge range of council housing related activities.

Each year we produce a HRA Business Plan. The plan sets out our main spending priorities for the year ahead. This is because we only have a set budget, and we need to make sure that we are spending our money carefully to deliver you the services that you need.

We are now carrying out the annual review of our business plan which will cover the 2025-2026 financial year. We are asking for the views of our tenants and leaseholders to help with this. We want to know which of our 15 priorities matter most to you, and why.

This consultation will close on 18th November 2024.

Your feedback will be used in our business plan and help us to better understand what exactly you want us to focus on in the year ahead.

The new HRA Business Plan will be agreed in February 2025, and will set out our spending priorities covering the period April 2025 – March 2026.

How to give us your views

If you are a Sheffield City Council tenant or leaseholder, you can give us your feedback and be involved in the review by completing our survey, the link to the survey is below.
