Sheffield City Council's Parks and Countryside Service are planning improvements to Firth Park to improve the quality of the playground.

  • A first round of consultation organised by the Friends of Firth Park and a previous local Councillor Abtisam Mohamed, was used to find out what the priorities and concerns are in the local community and to gather information which we then used in planning the design. The information gathered was about preferences for play provision, the demographics of people who use the park etc. The results can be seen here: Firth Park Community Consultation Report

This Have Your Say Sheffield page is a space for sharing information with the local community about the progress of the improvements, including updates, designs, plans, and community involvement.

This page will also provide a space for the community to stay engaged with the project and provide opportunities for comments, feedback, and the sharing of ideas about Firth Park playground.

  • Plumbley Park playground is getting some new play equipment to replace the existing timber equipment.

Unfortunately, health and safety concerns around the central timber climbing unit has led to it's removal. We are working with the local community to replace this. The remaining timber play equipment is also deteriorating and will soon need to be replaced.

The results from this survey and wider consultation with the local community and key stakeholders will help us choose the next pieces of equipment and shape the priorities for future improvements.
