First Aid Awareness Training
The North-East LAC is organising free First Aid Awareness training sessions for volunteer, community, and faith groups in the North-East Sheffield. Our first training session was delivered by the Yorkshire Ambulance Trust on Monday 16th September at Firth Park Methodist Church. It provided people with a better understanding of heart attacks, CPR, bleeding, choking, and strokes. If you were unable to attend this date, please email us at northeastLAC@sheffield.gov.uk and we will book you on to our next available course.
Emergency First Aid at Work Training
The North-East LAC will be holding Emergency First Aid at Work training for the local Councillors for Firth Park, Southey, Shiregreen and Brightside and Burngreave as well as any Council Officers who are out in the community. The first session will be on 20th May 2025, and it will be a full day session resulting in a formal qualification. Following this, staff will be able to respond confidently to an emergency situation that requires immediate first aid and ensure that members of the community are supported.
