Local Area Committees (LACs) give you the chance to raise your views, share your opinion on what the council does in your area and contribute to making changes in your neighbourhood.

As a resident of East Sheffield, this is your opportunity to say what you would like to see improved.

The East Local Area Committee (LAC) is made up of four wards: Darnall, Manor Castle, Park and Arbourthorne and Richmond. The area has a population of over 85,000 residents, approximately 15% of Sheffield’s total population.

  • East Local Area Committee Thank You Awards 2026

    We will be holding a community awards celebration event on the  29th of January 2026.   In the East LAC area there as lots of individuals  and community groups that do exceptional work in the area for the community.  Please nominate a group or individual to receive a special 'thank you' at our East Local Area Committee Awards evening. We'd love to hear a little about why you have made this nomination. Have they served the community for a long time, delivered a great project, helped you or someone you know in a way that has made a big positive impact? Please share your stories.
