Children’s experiences during their early years shape the rest of their lives. These experiences affect how well they do at school, their future job prospects, and even their long-term health.
Sheffield’s Early Years Strategy brings people and services together across the city. Our aim is to support parents and carers so that every child has the best possible start in life. Our ambition is for all Early Years children to have happy, healthy childhoods, leading to better outcomes for Sheffield’s future adult population.
To make sure the Sheffield Early Years Strategy (2023–2028) reflects current guidance, policy and legislation we are refreshing this. The refresh will also ensure it fits with Sheffield’s Best Start in Life vision and the national priority that every child has the best start in life.
We have two surveys running until Sunday 1 February one for parents and carers and one for professionals. The surveys should take around 10 to 15 minutes.
Your feedback will be included in the strategy refresh document due to be published in the spring.
