Concord Park

Sheffield City Council's Parks and Countryside Service are planning improvements to Concord Park in order to raise the overall quality of the site, encourage increased use, and enable more people to access the health and wellbeing benefits of using our parks and greenspaces.

This Have Your Say Sheffield page is intended to be a space for sharing information and engaging with the local community about the development of the improvement(s) including updates, designs, plans, and consultation.

The News Feed will provide updates on the improvement project and general items about the park

The initial focus of the improvements will be to develop and deliver the priorities identified in the consultation undertaken at the end of 2022 - the results of which can be found here.

A follow up consultation in the summer of 2024 asked the local community what they would want from an 'All Wheels Park' in Concord Park to allow us to plan and design a facility which best meets the need of the local community - the results of which can be found here

In early 2025 the North East Local Area Committee has worked with Parks and Countryside and other services conducted further engagement with the local community to prioritise the spending of the £100K Public Health funds which are currently allocated to the site and to shape future improvement plans and funding opportunities for the green space. This consultation further supported the development of an 'All Wheels Park'.

Working in partnership with Access Sport and local stakeholders including the Friends of Concord Park and Woolley Woods and Ward Councillors a proposal for an all-wheels facility at Concord Park has now been developed.

We now are seeking feedback from the community on the all-wheels facility design via the Concord Park 'All Wheels' Facility Survey

  • Over the last few years consultation undertaken by the Parks & Countryside Service, the Friends of Concord Park and Wooley Woods, and the NE Local Area Committee has shown support for an 'all-wheels' facility at Concord Park (details of the previous engagement activities can be found here Concord Park | Have Your Say Sheffield)

Working in partnership with Access Sport and local stakeholders including the Friends of Concord Park and Woolley Woods and Ward Councillors a proposal for an all-wheels facility at Concord Park has now been developed.

A summary of the consultation to date can be found here: Access Sport Consultation Report

The design for the all-wheels facility in Concord Park involves a new all-wheel tarmacked pump track, a beginners track, a new club storage facility and club area, with the possibility of a multi-function area for learning to ride, accessible bikes and other wheeled sports equipment. The all-wheels track would be built on the location of the disused bowling greens, between the playground and the multi-use games area. Other improvements would include; better path connections, seating, park infrastructure, lighting, biodiversity enhancements, and drainage works.

We now are seeking feedback from the community on the all-wheels facility design via the survey below.

The final design can be viewed via the links below:
