BT Payphones proposed removals (March 2025)

BT proposes to remove six payphones (the phone box and the equipment) across the city - see documents for their locations.

If the Council is to object to the removal of a payphone, it must be supported by relevant evidence, specifically relating to local factors that show a reasonable end-user need for that payphone.

There are then some additional equality monitoring questions. 

It is essential that our services are provided fairly and that they reach the people who need to use them. The monitoring information we collect below is vital to this process. It helps us understand who is using our services and who is not, having this information helps us improve services and reduce barriers to access.  The information we collect will always be kept confidential and secure.
