BT proposes to remove six payphones (the phone box and the equipment) across the city. Please see a list of the payphone locations.

If the Council is to object to the removal of a payphone, it must be supported by relevant evidence, specifically relating to local factors that show a reasonable end-user need for that payphone.

The deadline for comments is 5pm on Friday 18 April 2025

    If the Council is to object to the removal of a payphone, it must be supported by relevant evidence, specifically relating to local factors that show a reasonable end-user need for that payphone.

    There are then some additional equality monitoring questions. 

    It is essential that our services are provided fairly and that they reach the people who need to use them. The monitoring information we collect below is vital to this process.
