Have Your Say: Housing Asset Management Strategy Consultation
We’re inviting tenants and local residents to feed back on initial planning of our Asset Management Strategy. An Asset Management Strategy (AMS) is a document which sets out how we manage the condition, safety and long-term investment of the Council’s social housing stock.
Your views will help us:
Identify the most important priorities for our housing stock
Plan investment in a fair and transparent way
Understand where improvements are most needed
Ensure our decisions reflect your experiences
The consultation is open until the 30th of January 2026.

We’re inviting tenants and local residents to feed back on the initial planning of our Asset Management Strategy. This document will set out how we manage the condition, safety and long-term investment of the Council’s social housing stock. Right now, we are seeking your views on the key priorities for our residents and stakeholders.
The survey is open to all Sheffield residents, whether you are a Council tenant, rent, or own your home, but we would particularly like to hear from Sheffield City Council tenants.
The survey should take around 15 minutes to do and will close on 30th of January 2026.
What happens to my feedback?
The feedback collected in this survey will be analysed by Sheffield City Council’s Asset Management and Programme Works Asset Policy Officer.
We do not ask for any personally identifiable information such as your name or contact details, so your feedback will be anonymous. As part of our first stage of analysis, we will also ensure that no identifying information is included in the data.
We will ask for information about specific characteristics, such as ethnicity or disability. This helps us compare what different groups of people, with different views and experiences, think or want.
We analyse all the feedback carefully, in line with the 2018 Data Protection Act and 2018 GDPR legislation which sets out how information can be used and kept safe.
Once the consultation is completed and the feedback has been analysed, all personal data collected will be deleted. More information about how we collect personal data and store it can be found here: https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/utilities/footer-links/privacy-notice
