As at the date of consultation we are still awaiting our indicative Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) Settlement for Local Authorities from the Department for Education, so all financial amounts shared in this paper are estimated. We expect to receive this information by the end of November. This consultation is therefore seeking views, in principle only, based on the estimated amount available for redirection.
The increased funding will be used to:
Ensure that provision is in place for children with Education, Health, and Care Plans, in line with our statutory duties.
Fund Strategic initiatives in localities to meet the needs of children with SEND.
