Street Tree Replacement to facilitate the building of a Turning Lane - Derek Dooley Way
Consultation on the replacement of four young street trees to facilitate the building of a Right Turn Lane on Derek Dooley Way, S4.
As part of a project called Connecting Sheffield: Darnall-Attercliffe-City Centre, changes need to be made to Derek Dooley Way, specifically, constructing a right turn lane onto Furnival Road.
To complete these works, a central reservation containing four young Elm cultivar (Ulmus New Horizon) street trees, would need to be removed and the trees replaced elsewhere. The four trees are indicated by the green dots on the plan below and pictured underneath the plan.
This consultation is only about the removal and replacement of trees, and is not seeking opinions on the installation of the right turn lane. The public consultation on the turning lane and project as a whole has already been run.
As it stands, the replant species and locations have not yet been decided.
