The Licensing Service last published its Licensing Act policy 2021 and we have a statutory obligation to publish a reviewed policy every five years. We are now in the review period, and we are seeking your views on the proposed changes. 

Section A - Proposed Changes


This section is all about the proposed changes to the Licensing Act policy.

Documents outlining the proposed changes can be found in the 'Consultation Documents' section of the main consultation page. 

You may wish to familiarise yourself with these documents before completing this survey.

  • Provide applicants with a clear, consistent basis for submitting applications and notices in Sheffield;

  • Ensure local area issues are taken into account by licensed premises; and
  • Support wider strategies of the City Council and the approach to the provision of licensable activities in the city
