About Us
You may not realise that the South West Neighbourhood is composed of multiple teams (Estates, Neighbourhood Support, and four Ward Teams), that cover across: Batemoor, Dore and Totley, Ecclesall, Gleadless Valley, Graves Park, Greenhill, Jordanthorpe, and Lowedges. Each of the teams deal with different aspects of the service, and we thought it would be helpful for you to understand who does what:
Estates
You may have seen our Estates Officers (in the blue uniform) around your areas cleaning blocks, clearing fly-tips, working with green spaces, etc. Among their many duties, part of the role of our Estates team is to complete Health and Safety inspections in communal blocks.
Neighbourhood Support Team
You will mainly know Neighbourhood Support for covering reception at Newfield Green, and taking your initial calls. Some of the other responsibilities of Neighbourhood Support are: chasing property keys, managing community centers, managing garages, etc.
Ward Teams
Neighbourhood Officers are split into four wards across our Area. They are the ones who are visiting you regarding Anti-Social Behaviour, Rehousing, Tenancy Management.
Estate Walkabouts
Join our South West Neighbourhood Team for a friendly Walkabout and get to know your community better. Explore our list of neighbourhoods! You can quickly find your neighbourhood walkabout by clicking in the link below
