Sheffield City Council has drafted a new Housing Strategy (plan) for 2024-2034, and we want to hear from you! This Strategy is for everyone who lives or works in Sheffield and for people of all ages and backgrounds. We want to make sure that this Strategy makes a difference for you now, and in years to come!

Sheffield is an amazing place to live, and around 600,000 people call it home. This Strategy will shape the future of housing in our city over the next 10 years, helping to deliver even better-quality homes that are safe, help keep people healthy, are energy efficient, and meet people’s needs and aspirations. We want people to be proud of where they live in neighbourhoods, they are happy to call home.

Earlier this year you told us what was important to you about housing and neighbourhoods in Sheffield. We have used what you told us to help write a new draft Housing Strategy for the city. We had a great response from Council tenants and older people, so we’d love to hear the views of young adults, students, private renters, owner occupiers and from all of Sheffield's communities too!

We’d now like you to share your views on the draft Strategy with us, tell us whether we’ve got it right and if you feel there is anything missing.

You can read the the full draft Housing Strategy by clicking here, it will be helpful to read this before answering our short survey, but not essential as a summary of the key points of this Strategy are included.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE STRATEGY OR TO BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE NEXT CONSULTATION PHASE BEGINS, PLEASE CONTACT THE STRATEGIC HOUSING SERVICE AT: HousingStrategy@sheffield.gov.uk / 0114 2736396
