Open: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am - 4pm

Learning Zone

320 Wordsworth Avenue, Sheffield, S5 8NH

Open: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am - 12.30pm, 1.30pm - 4pm

Stocksbridge

Town Hall, Stocksbridge, Sheffield, S36 2DT

Open: Tuesday 9.30am - 12.30pm and 1pm - 4pm, and Thursday 9.30am - 12.30pm

Meet Your North Neighbourhood Team

We cover the following Electoral Wards: Southey, East Ecclesfield, West Ecclesfield, and Stocksbridge and Upper Don.

Our teams work together to provide services in these areas. Each team has a different role. Here's a guide to who does what:


Estates Team

You may have seen our Estates Officers in their blue uniforms around your neighbourhood. They help keep your area clean and safe. Their work includes:

  • Cleaning communal areas and blocks
  • Removing fly-tipping
  • Looking after green spaces
  • Carrying out health and safety checks in communal blocks


Neighbourhood Support Team

The Neighbourhood Support Team often provides the first point of contact for tenants. They answer calls and staff our reception points. They also help with:

  • Managing property keys
  • Managing community centres
  • Managing garages
  • Supporting a range of neighbourhood services


Ward Teams

Our Neighbourhood Officers work across the different ward teams in the North area. They support tenants with:

  • Anti-social behaviour issues
  • Rehousing enquiries
  • Tenancy management matters

You may see them visiting residents and working with people in their local communities.


How to get involved in improving our services

Your views are really important to us. We need your feedback to help us improve what we do and to be the best landlord we can be. Here are the ways you can get involved locally:


Neighbourhood Walkabouts

Walkabouts are a fantastic way to meet your local Neighbourhood Team, local Councillors, partner agencies, local TARAs and other community groups.

We walk the local area, discussing the issues we see and how to improve the local area.

So why not join us for a friendly Walkabout and get to know your community better? Below are a list of upcoming dates and the areas we'll be covering:

Local Area Housing Forum

Our local forum brings together local tenants, Councillors, housing staff and local service partners to discuss housing issues in our area. Why not come along to the next one and be part of the discussions?

They are informal and friendly, and all tenants and leaseholders living in the north are welcome.

Also, we'd love to know what you'd like to discuss at these meetings - so please use the 'Ideas' section below to leave us suggestions for topics to be discussed. All suggestions are welcome and will be considered.

Tenants and Residents Associations (TARAs)

TARAs are local independent community groups, run by volunteers for the benefit of local tenants and residents. Here are the TARAs in our area - they'd love to hear from you if you want to find out more or get in touch:




New Housing Allocations Policy

Last year Sheffield City Council asked for the thoughts of residents, our partner organisations and community groups on how we could improve our Housing Allocations Policy and how we could ensure fairness when allocating social housing.


We’ve listened to the feedback received and in January of this year our new Housing Allocations policy was approved.


The new policy will come if to affect from the 11th of November 2026, until this date we continue to work from our current policy.
