Who Are We?
The North Neighbourhood Team comprises of over 50 staff, working between 3 functions, Neighbourhood Management, Neighbourhood Support and Estate Management, to support those living in and around our almost 6000 properties to create sustainable and secure neighbourhoods that people are happy to call home.
The team consists of 54 staff members: Service Manager, Operations & Development Manager, Ward Team Leaders, Neighbourhood Officers, Neighbourhood Support Team Leaders, Neighbourhood Support Officers, Estates Team Leader, Lead Estate Officer, Senior Housing Officer (Estates) , Housing Officer (Estates), Estate Officers, Block Cleaners and Driver Team Leaders.
Purpose of The Team
Managing Anti-Social Behaviour and supporting those who experience it
Tenancy Management and Tenancy Support for the whole household, right from the start of the Tenancy, via a New Tenancy Visit, and offering all tenants a visit on an annual or bi-annual basis to discuss any tenancy related support needs and signpost to appropriate services, offer help and advice to make the tenancy successful, and assess the property asset
Offering Rehousing options and advice and giving support to those in priority need
Offering an effective face to face advice service through our customer access points at Chapeltown First Point, The Learning Zone, Wordsworth Avenue and Stocksbridge Town Hall (Opening times differ so please check).
Offering both telephone and written advice via our Neighbourhood Support Team, and being accessible to our customers by having a named Neighbourhood Officer who is visible on our estates
Management of Garage Sites, Meeting Rooms and Community Centres
Locally based estate service and block cleaning including Health and Safety inspections within flats & maisonettes, removal of graffiti on land managed by the Housing Service, and managing communal waste
Working with Partners to to manage communal and open spaces
Working with city wide and local service providers including Police, Health, Voluntary and Faith groups, Social Landlords & other Housing Providers to build successful and cohesive communities and Neighbourhoods that people are happy to call home
Working together to get things done, with Community Engagement Services to Tenants and Residents, Tenants and Residents Associations, Community Groups and the wider community to ensure People are at the heart of all we do

Our local forum brings together local tenants, Councillors, housing staff and local service partners to discuss housing issues in our area.
