To celebrate the outstanding dedication, professionalism, and hard work of our staff, alongside the remarkable achievements and progress of our young people, apprentices, and adult learners, Lifelong Learning and Skills is delighted to announce that we will be hosting a full-scale awards ceremony this year.
This special event will provide an opportunity to recognise and honour the commitment, resilience, and success demonstrated across our entire learning community. It will bring together learners, staff, partners, and supporters to reflect on accomplishments over the past year, share inspiring stories, and highlight the positive impact of lifelong learning.
Through this celebration, we aim not only to acknowledge individual and collective achievements, but also to inspire continued growth, ambition, and excellence for the year ahead.
It will take place in the Town Hall on Wednesday 3rd June 2026 from 9.30am – 1 pm. There will also be marketing materials for celebrating opportunities that are on offer around the city.
Selection of award winners – key dates
All nominations must be submitted by the close of play on Monday 11th May 2026
Shortlisted nominees will be announced on the Wednesday 20th May 2026
Event will be held on Wednesday 3rd June 2026
The deadline for nominations is final and there will be no extensions provided.
There will be a multi-team panel and the decisions of the selection panel are final.
