  • This consultation is part of Sheffield’s work to prevent serious violence and make communities safer. It focuses on listening to young people and understanding their experiences, views and ideas.

When we say serious violence we mean things like knife crime, gun violence, violence against women and girls, and groups (such as gangs) working together to hurt others or make people feel unsafe.

This consultation is led by the Youth Voice and Influence Service. Young people’s views will be shared anonymously to help develop Sheffield’s Preventing Serious Violence Strategy, which will be launched in October 2026. The strategy will help shape local work, prevent serious violence and improve safety for young people and everyone in Sheffield.

The results form this survey will feed into an event being hosted in July. As part of this survey, if you are interested in attending the event you will be asked to leave contact details.
