Allotments

Sheffield City Council is proud of its rich heritage and the vibrant network of spaces that support local people and communities in growing healthy, sustainable food.

With 3,700 statutory allotment plots across 78 sites, our allotments play a vital role in tackling food inequality, building food resilience, supporting biodiversity and fostering community wellbeing and cohesion.

We are currently inviting feedback from allotment holders through a survey. The aim is to:

  • Gather your views on the current council service
  • Identify key areas for improvement and future investment
  • Understand site-specific issues and challenges
  • Learn more about your priorities and needs as a plot holder
  • Collect insights that will help shape the future of allotment provision in Sheffield

The results will also allow us to compare progress since the last Customer Satisfaction Allotment survey in 2018.

Your voice matters. Taking part in this survey is a great opportunity to influence annual planning and help shape the future of allotments in our city. Your feedback is highly valued.

The survey is open until 1st September.

For previous survey results please refer to the Documents section on the right-hand side.
