Traffic Regulation Orders advertised - August 2024

Some of the changes we're making to roads as part of the Connecting Sheffield: Abbeydale Road and Ecclesall Road project require Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) to enable some restrictions. This process gives local residents and the general public opportunity to comment on or object to what we are proposing.

We've written to residents and businesses in the areas affected by the Traffic Regulation Orders, and you can find the details under Proposed Traffic Orders on the Council website at https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/home/roads-pavements/traffic-orders under the heading Connecting Sheffield: Abbeydale Road and Ecclesall Road.

You can also look at copies of the proposed Order, plans showing the roads concerned and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may during normal opening hours at First Point Reception, Howden House, 1 Union Street, Sheffield, S1 2SH.

To formally comment or object, you can email scheme.design@sheffield.gov.uk - we're also keen to hear from people who support the plans.

If we receive any objections we will pass them, along with all other comments we receive, to the Transport, Regeneration and Climate Policy Committee who will then make a decision on how to proceed.

If you make comment or object you are giving your consent for the council to process your personal information. We will only use this information in relation to this scheme and will not share it with anyone without your express permission.

If you have any questions about the proposals or the Traffic Regulation Order process please contact us.
